The tuna fishing season in Oma runs from about July to the beginning of the new year. If a tuna is caught, the fishing boats come to this unloading area where fishermen’s families wait eagerly for them. If you’re lucky, you might even see them bring a giant tuna! Keep an eye out for the proud smiles of the fishermen. *When visiting, please be considerate and keep a respectful distance from of the staff of the Oma Fisheries Association and the fishermen while they are at work.
