We have a guided tour that goes around to the different areas related to our tuna (currently the tour is only offered in Japanese), and a tour where you can sample foods as you walk around the town. There is also a special tour offered from the end of August until the beginning of October called the Tuna Pole-Fishing Watching Tour, where you can ride a fishing boat and observe the areas where our fishermen catch tuna.

■ Oma Fisherman’s Fortune Tour + Special Tuna Bowl ■
During this tour, you can eat snacks at some of the favorite places of the proud and adventurous Oma fishermen, then you will visit the shrines where the fisherman worship the gods who protect them at sea. You’ll be able to receive the same good fortune the Oma fishermen have! Finally, you’ll head to Hamazushi to try a special tuna bowl made with 3 rare tuna delicacies.

Tour Availability Period: August-Early October (not available during Obon Holiday Period in mid-August)
On this tour, you can ride a fishing boat into the fishing grounds on the Tsugaru Strait. The sights and sounds of Oma Tuna fishing is an experience you can only have here in Oma!
